I teach English 9 and English 11. This is my 24th year teaching English at Arvada West, and my 38th year as a teacher. I have taught everything from 7th grade math (my first teaching job in 1983) to College Composition and Creative Writing at Colorado State University. I have also taught science, social studies, and health. I grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, attended Jeffco Schools, received my BA and MFA from Colorado State University. My three children all attended school in the Poudre School District where I live in Fort Collins. (Yes, everyday, I drive down here. It's quicker than walking!)
