Are you wearing your ID?   All staff and students should have their AWest ID displayed at all times.  If you have misplaced your ID, $5 will get you a new one.  Stop by the Main Office for all your ID needs.  

Schedule change next week: Monday-1,3,5,7 - Tuesday-2,A,4,6 - Wednesday-1,3,5,7 - Thursday, Late Start Day-2,4,6.  No school Friday, February 3 for Jeffcon.

Thinking about a career in Technology?  Come to the 6th Annual Jeffcon Student Technology Conference hosted at AWest on Friday, February 3rd. JEFFCON is a one day, interactive conference that allows students to learn about various IT roles from experienced Jeffco staff and industry professionals, and explore various career paths in the field of IT. Register at www.jeffcon.netNo school that day for students who do not register for this special event.

FCCLA will be holding a meeting today during 1st rotation in W135. Come on by to take a group photo, have some snacks and discuss our fundraiser and upcoming State Competition!

Today is the day to come and have lunch or dinner at Mountain Classic Deli and Cafe to support the AWest FCCLA Club! 10% of all sales today will go to FCCLA. 

Girls Golf interest/signup  meeting is today during 2nd rotation in room N125.  We will discuss requirements, tryouts, tournament and practice schedule, player needs, and beginning day at TopGolf. 

All members of the Theatre Company (participants from the Fall Play, spring musical, improv troupe) and anyone interested in being a part of the senior-directed show: please plan to attend the theatre company meeting in the auditorium today during 2nd rotation. 

It is a privilege to attend activities such as dances at Arvada West HS.  Neon Nights Dance is coming up on Saturday, February 11 from 7-10pm, and only eligible students will be able to attend. Students must have no discipline or behavior events this year, as well as the following criteria for this semester for students to be eligible to attend:1.    Fewer than 8 UNX Tardies 2.    Fewer than 6 UNX Period Absences 3.    No more than one Failing grade (includes Advisement & Study Hall)

Please reach out to your Administrator regarding your eligibility to attend.

Approved guests will be allowed, 1 per AWHS student to the Neon Nights Dance.  Forms are available for pickup in the Main Office.  All forms are due no later than Tuesday, February 7th at 3:15pm to the Main Office.  There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline for any reason.

DECA Meets Tuesday Jan 31st after school in Mr. Milano’s room

AWest Blood Drive is January 31st from 9:30-1:15.  See the website for sign up times and donating requirements.

In conjunction with the AWest Blood Drive, Wildcat Wellness group presents our first ever Health Fair on January 31st during both lunches. We are planning to have 20 health related vendors with information and goodies to improve our Wildcat health and Wellness. We will also have yoga in the counseling center, therapy dog station, healthy smoothies and a lot of prizes for those that participate. Please sign-up for yoga in the counseling center and send questions to Mrs. Boots. 

Save the Date Speech and Debate Team Members! Saturday February 4th 2:30-4:30 PM we will host a Jeffco Event and participate with other schools in practice rounds.  We will talk about it at our next meeting on Tuesday January 31st afterschool from 3-4PM in N119 and don’t forget if you want to be in the Team photo for the Yearbook you need to stop by N119 to pick up your pass from Mrs Wimberley this week!
