|
If/when Jeffco Schools, in coordination with Jeffco Public Health, makes the decision to transition schools to 100% remote learning, Arvada West is ready. Our current hybrid and remote learning models were designed to support a seamless transition in and out of remote learning. Arvada West plans to transition into full remote learning beginning the school day following Jeffco Schools announcement to shift to Remote Learning. For example, if Jeffco Schools makes the announcement on a Wednesday, we will plan to begin Remote Learning on Thursday.

Bell Schedule

Learning Management System (LMS)
|
Teachers will continue to update their classroom’s LMS Schoology with lesson resources and class assignments. Schoology will continue to also be the place to find the Attendance Assignment required on Asynchronous Friday’s for each class. If for any reason, your student is having difficulties accessing their teacher’s Schoology page, please have them reach out to their teacher directly.

Student Support: Special Education Services
|
We will work with the families of students with IEPs on an individual basis regarding how remote learning will continue with your student. In the event of the move to remote learning, your student’s case manager will reach out to you with more details.

Student Support: Friday Office Hours
|
Teachers may require students to log in to their classroom by the Friday Office Hour Schedule to complete additional work or get additional support.

Student Support: Counseling Department
|
During remote learning, counselors will be available to offer both academic and social emotional learning support. Counselors will also continue to connect with students via Schoology, Google Meet, Zoom, and other platforms.

Athletics and Activities

At this time, no decision has been made about changes to Athletics and Activities during a change to 100% Remote Learning. Guidance from District Level Personnel will be provided to our Athletic/Activity Director, Gordon Volk. We will work with our coaches and sponsors to provide information in a timely manner.
