Details for the 2021 TSA VIRTUAL Colorado State Conference:

Dear Families of Arvada West STEAM Club Members:

We are preparing for the Colorado State Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference, to be held March 1-6th VIRTUALLY! Participation at the conference is not mandatory for club members, but I want everyone who is interested to have the opportunity to attend.

The State Conference is a great chance for our students to present their work, compete in challenges, and learn about opportunities in science, technology, and engineering.  This is a unique and impactful experience for our students. Because the virtual format is new, and our conditions ever-changing, we are not sure exactly how these days will look. There is a chance that events may be during synchronous school classes. Students would be excused from class periods that overlap events and expected to communicate with their teachers to make-up any work that would be missed.

Conference participation will cost $60 per student to pay for TSA national affiliation and conference registration. If your participation hinges on financial factors, please email Ms. Stewart (email address below).

We’re actively looking for sponsorships from local technology, design, and engineering firms or individuals. If you know of a company or individual that would be willing to sponsor our club and support the next generation of Colorado scientists and engineers, please ask them to get in touch with me as soon as possible. The more sponsors we have, the more experience we can offer studnets.  If you or a family member would like to make a donation to allow deserving students to attend, please be aware that many employers offer a matching program, which could allow you to double your effective donation.

You can read more about the conference, including information about events, hotel, rules and more at the Colorado TSA Fall conference event page:

I will be sending more specific information about costs and logistics as the event gets closer.

The deadline for event registration is Friday, January 15th. In order for students to be registered I need a parent/guardian AND students to complete this form together by Thursday January 14th.

The Arvada West STEAM club
provides opportunity to enhance personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). Members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs. There will be opportunities for school-based competitions monthly and off-site competitions including Colorado Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference and US Department of Energy's High School Regional Science Bowl. STEAM members can participate in any or all of these competitions. (You do not have to do them all to be a member of STEAM!)
